Trucks are equipped with an Electronic Control Module (ECM)\u2014a hardwired computer that monitors engine performance, emissions, and vehicle diagnostics continuously. Unlike aircraft black boxes designed specifically for accident investigation, truck ECMs are built into the vehicle’s engine and transmission systems.
